Capitalism can be define as accumulation of wealth and we could think as it is an exchange of goods. As a result it is a way of becoming rich and powerful. Some Hip Hip songs send out messages about getting money and becoming very rich. some video clips show rappers showing of there jewelry and cars that not even out on the street yet. For instance the song " 5 start chick" by Yo Gotti ft. Gucci Mane, Trina and Nicki Minaj fits in this category. The song mentions " gucci mane got 9 cars, ima 5 star" and " pay ha bills, get ha hair fixed, might even pay ha rent" and "dha way she give it to me best money i eva spent." In this song the rapper is saying he got more money, cars and call himself a supper star. As a result he has more power and gets women because he spends more money on them.
More over the rappers says " she a natural born hustla, she aint chasin no sukas, on a mission for a real nigga, so ya cars nd ya jewley dat she really dnt excite." This shows that women are more attracted to materials and chooses to be with a man who has more money and be able to spend on them. So he has to get more money in order the women to choose him. In general this song sounds being in the hip hop industry is all about making money and be powerful to do and get what every you want. Am not saying that most rap songs are all about money but this song and others such as " Lemonade" by Gucci Mane talk about getting money from the beginning to an end. This kinds of rap songs send out message to people Hip Hop industry becomes all bout getting money, be able to do what ever you want and if you have everything you get a fine women.
